MOUSE
ANOTHER MOUSE THAT ROARED
Please note: if you are not interested in the true, uncontested facts about Obama’s background and road to the presidency, stop right here, pull up the covers and go back to sleep. Matt Patterson, columnist for three national newspapers, poses this question: “How did a man so void of professional accomplishments beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world’s largest economy, direct the world’s most powerful military, and execute the world’s most consequential job?” Who knows, but we do know this: he got through an Ivy League school with lousy grades, a non-job as “community organizer”, a lack-luster career as a state legislator, and left no academic legacy. Furthermore, he palled around with America-haters preacher Jeremiah Wright and known terrorist Bill Ayers…and he was black. This is important, because as Norman Podhoretz maintains, Obama was given a pass—held to a lower standard—because of the color of his skin.” A subtle example of affirmative action. Or, as Matt Patterson avers: “ Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin—that’s affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that, isn’t racism, then nothing is. And that is what America did for Obama.” But then, why should Obama be bothered with his lack of achievements? Everywhere he went he was told he was “good enough”; good enough to go to Columbia, good enough for the U.S. Senate, good enough to be president of the United States. All these “good enoughs” in spite of the evidence that he’s never been much good at anything. And looking further, what about Obama’s character? He blames everybody and everything, including Bush and bad luck for the mess he’s in. But what can we expect from a man who has never taken responsibility for anything? With that record, if you expect him to act responsibly now, you’re trying to make a wig out of cat’s hair. Columnist Patterson leaves us with this thought: “Our president is a small and small-minded man. He has neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job. When you understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.” Throughout history there have always been mice that roared. That’s why the mouse trap was invented. Come November, we’re fools if we don’t use it. |
