FreedomWorks Supports Freedom Caucus in Cancelling August Recess

FreedomWorks Vice President of Legislative Affairs Jason Pye made the following statement:

“We strongly support the stand the Freedom Caucus is taking to urge Republican leadership to keep the House in town during August. As it stands right now, there are roughly 60 days left on the House calendar, which leaves little time to repeal ObamaCare and pass fundamental tax reform. Time is passing by, and Republicans have little to show for it.

“Our community of grassroots conservative activists expects Congress to fulfill their campaign promises, and they're frustrated that, even with Republican majorities in both chambers, Congress is struggling to get something big done. Conservatives are not going to accept excuses. It's time to deliver.”
